Why we exist.

AI is moving quickly, but most non-profits do not have spare digital teams, unlimited budgets or time for another huge transformation programme.

Meanwhile, staff may already be experimenting with AI. Leaders and trustees are being asked to make decisions about tools they are still trying to understand. The risks are real, but so is the potential to make some work easier.

We want responsible AI support to be available to non-profits of different sizes, not only organisations with specialist teams. That means clearer questions, proportionate governance and practical help that fits the realities of non-profit work.

What matters to us.

  • Start with people, purpose and the problem you are trying to solve, and keep human judgement firmly involved.
  • Protect confidentiality, dignity and safety. Be fiercely trans-inclusive, anti-racist and anti-ableist.
  • Be practical and proportionate. Be honest about uncertainty and risk.
  • Build people’s confidence and capability, rather than creating dependency.

AI should never replace judgement, invent facts, flatten lived experience, hide risk, make decisions about people or undermine trust.

Start somewhere manageable.

You do not need to have all the answers. Our free AI Governance Check will help you understand where your organisation stands and identify three practical next steps.
